Can't edit posts for some reason so here is the new one I decided to reset to today. After two runs through dailies in the Rift and three runs in the Dungeons (legacy) I could see what did and did not work. So, this I am trying. Please take a look feed back is mandatory. Twisted Evil

I like it ash, though is keen swing worth it? I'd rather silence them and interrupt things if I'm close to anything. And what do you think about blinding powder? Seems ok if you're trying to escape from a another ranger or if you wanna go toe to toe with a warrior longer. Here's what I wanna try out later, I want to use sneak mode as much as I can. xD

After several runs through the dungeons and hours farming I need to find a balance between the dps and skills need for both. Turns out I am too powerful with my arrows for Guardians to keep agro and they distracted by my speed, not to mention the dps I inflict. So, I have come up with this. It will allow me to escape and be all ninja like when I need to keep myself alive, deal some serious melee dps when need the tanks can get their act together, and still fling some pretty powerful bolts of doooooommmm! Twisted Evil (cue the clapping sound of snap thunder)

Current, seem ok, balanced my dps at 145 each, 30% crit on both.

Omg ash the numbers, my heads spinning... Anyways the latest seems fine for going mostly archer. Umm here's mine, like I said it uses stuns and focuses on criticals. But I need more vigor it seems... As for damage the highest I've hit was about 2300-2600.

Prier, I like it and I see why you loose vigor so easily. This needs a minor tweak for pvp imo, and this below would be a start as to how I might tweak it. Blinding powder, good, we have crappy armor numbers things like that help when we get swarmed ... think elves or bloodsuckers. Take a look. One thing though, if you find you dont use the reset skills spell, take it out and give it to rapid steps, defense is great if you are already hitting hard but not super fast nor from a distance.

Oh also came across these other weird numbers that will be of some help.

Str: Strength, Increases attack power. [1 Strength = 2 Melee Attack Power (1 Melee Attack Power for Ranger)]

Stm: Stamina, Increases max HP and HP regeneration rate. [1 Stamina = 10 HP and 2 HP/8s]

Ag: Agility, Increases dodge and critical strike chance; increase ranged attack power. [1 Agility = .04% Dodge, .05% Critical Chance, 1 Ranged Attack Power (2 Ranged Attack Power, 1 Melee Attack Power for Ranger)]

Wz: Wisdom, Increases max mana points and mana regeneration rate. [1 Wisdom = 15 MP and .83 MP/8s]

Ah, that looks really good, the critical bonus while in sneak was kinda passable. So keeping more vigor would help since I'm in striking distance more often. I'm totally going to try this out. Hows your current build? Seeing as you're trying so hard to balance your damage with taking down foes and not drawing aggro. IMO the last build you posted seems great, the blame is on the tanks isn't it? We deal more damage in bursts than they do... So I'd say smoke bomb is really key as it's our last(only) ditch for escaping aggro....

How about this? Going for barrage since explosive shot interrupts any way.

Maybe you could get rid of double stab IMO it's better to use it with stunning, plus I think rapid shot is better for managing vigor. Hmm with how the stat numbers work, I'm wondering how would an dodge based archer would work?

Very nice. Depends a lot on gear and their buffs. Also, are you looking for a rounded Ranger for all fields (pvp, pve, dungeons) of battle? Looks also very similar to my build. I found explosive shot is great for the elves when 2-3 to 1 but horrible in the dungeons as it pulls targets you want to leave with guardian. Better off with Avulsion Shot. Split shot does the same as well, take those points and use them Weighted Arrow, another form of Pin Feet as it slows them down a step, Ranged Weapon Master, and the subset of Avulsion Shot, 5% more to infect with the Paralyzing Toxicity bringing it to a 25% chance to infect.

What we loose with Path of shooter we make up for in the Dagger Master string, some say its a waste but I am always told to get closer to mobs and when I do I default into auto-melee-attack-mode (wish there was a way to shut that off) so might as well keep those numbers up. The ranged pants and shoulders, melee top, helmet, and gloves seem to give me an even balance for dps now at 142m/148r with my last talent build. When I run dungeons I go straight up ranged armor, head to toe, bringing dps to 130m/152r ... without any buffs, so that will be about 170-180r or so with rune buffs, and monk buffs, in place. Ranged armor also brings critical to 35%, which is very nice indeed.

Once I can get another Kermode's Tear (finally got one last night), the gloves, and the mythical crossbow from the dungeon I will be adjusting again, for now my last set up seems to work fine for me, for now, until I get really bored and just want to do ranged for a while. Now that farming is dead, might as well focus on one target at a time.

Really impressive cap, looks like you're an expert at ranger in this game xD
I haven't played around with any new builds, as your latest tweaks are working quite nicely. I'll see If I can think of any thing else later.... Know any other class builds? I wanna make a monk but it looks like I hafta go for it blind :/ oh well that way is more fun I guess.
